Bryan Adams - Heaven

* 늦은 밤 시간입니다.^^ 오늘 소개해 드릴 노래는 호소력 짙은 허스키 보이스 가수인 "브라이언 아담스(Bryan Adams)"의 명곡 "Heaven"입니다. 1959년 캐나다 온타리오 주 킹스턴에서 태어난 브라이언 아담스는 영국과 포르투갈 그리고 이스라엘 등을 전전하다 15세 즈음 캐나다에 정착하면서 음악을 시작합니다. 이 후, 18세 때 본격적 활동을 시작하게 되고 1980년에 첫 솔로앨범 "Bryan Adams" 출반 하며 자신의 색깔을 찾기 시작하던 그는 1984년 11월 4집인 "Reckless"를 발표하게 됩니다. 바로 이 앨범에서 크게 히트한 곡이 "Heaven"입니다.

 

 연이어 "Summer Of 69", "Run To You", "It's only Love" 등이 차례로 성공하게 됩니다. 그러던 중 영화 "로빈훗(Robinhood)" 의 주제가로 쓰인 "Everyting I Do, I Do It For You" 가 다시 한번 히트를 하며 그를 대스타의 반열에 오르게 만듭니다.^^ 당시 "캐빈 코스트너(Kevin Michael Costner)"의 열연으로 흥행했던 영화 로빈훗은 대부분 알고 계실 겁니다.. 사실, 저는 이 영화 로빈훗에 대한 추억이 있는데요.. 중학교 시절 친구 두 녀석과 함께 부모님이 여행가신 틈을 타 로빈훗 그리고 레옹, 비디오 두개를 빌려, "X-파일" 이 끝난 뒤(그 당시, 밤12시에 방영하는 "X-파일" 이란 미스터리 외화가 있었습니다. 지금은 영화로도 제작됐지요.) 두편을 꼬박 밤세워 보고는 다음 날, 모두 학교를 1시간 넘게 지각했었던 사건입니다. 무척 혼났습니다. 지금 생각하면 웃음이 나지만요..^^*

 

Tip - 가장 정열적인 뮤지션 중 한 사람으로 꼽히는 브라이언 아담스는 작사, 작곡과 더불어 자선밴드를 조직해 각종 자선사업에 참여하기도 해 팝음악계의 귀감이 되기도 했습니다.
