* 휴일도 벌써 반이 지나갔네요^^; 일요일만 되면 늘상 월요일이 걱정입니다.ㅎ 자! 잠시 걱정은 접어두고, 오늘 소개 해드릴 노래는 영국 출신의 헤비메틀 그룹 "데프레퍼드(Def Leppard)" 의 너무도 유명한 곡 "Two Steps Behind" 가사와 해석입니다.. 제가 고등학교 1학년 때 친구의 추천으로 알게 된 밴드인데요. 요즘 공연중인 뮤지컬 "Rock Of Ages" 란 음반을 발매하기도 했었습니다. 하지만, 이들이 더욱 유명해진 사건(?)은 80년대 최고의 인기를 달리고 있을 때 팀의 드러머이던 "릭 앨런(Rick Allen)" 의 불의의 사고입니다. 릭은 당시 왼쪽 팔을 절단하게 됩니다. 하지만, 오랜 친구였던 밴드의 동료들은 그를 버릴 수 없다며 전자장치가 부착되어 있는 특수 드럼을 도입(?)해 밴드 활동을 계속 이어갑니다. 사고 이후에 데프 레퍼드의 노래 전체가 조금 느슨해진 것도 그런 이유에서입니다.

개인적으로 볼 때 명곡을 정말 많이 배출한 그룹이 바로 "데프레퍼드(Def Leppard)" 라고 생각합니다. 끝으로 "Two Steps Behind" 의 가사의 내용을 간단히 요약하자면 너무 급하게 하지 말라는 뜻입니다. 모든 사람은 완벽할 수 없으니, 두 발짝 정도 뒤에 간다는 생각으로 여유를 갖자는 말이죠~ 그러면 다른 세상이 보일 겁니다 ^^* 오늘은 휴일이니 더욱 여유를 가져볼 수 있겠군요~ 그럼, 모두 좋은 하루 되세요~!
